Breakfast of Champions - Mental Health and Wellness Careers

Mastermind Connect has teamed up with the Office of Equity and Access of the New York City Department of Education for a bi-monthly panel series dubbed “Breakfast of Champions," along with a series of supportive workshops.

These panels and workshops are comprised of diverse professionals across business sectors who seek to expose the young men of the NYC Urban Ambassadors program to the many opportunities and paths available to them. Students get a glance into the lives of individuals who dare to make a change in their respective fields of expertise, while staying true to themselves.

This month's panel and workshops will focus on “Mental Health and Wellness Careers.”

Mastering Your Craft: a workshop that teaches young men how to deal with stress, life conflicts, self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Lead by Talib Jasir

Mastermind Masterbody: a workshop focused on meditation, tuning the body, fluid movement, somatic expression and breathing exercises. Lead by Omar Davis

Omar Davis   Omar graduated from The Swedish Institute studying the human anatomy and massage therapy. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Omar built a successful practice in medical massage and sports rehabilitation. He began to notice the overall change as he would educate patients on mental and emotional awareness in relation to their ailments. To reach a bigger audience he developed a health education company named CrashBell.  CrashBell was designed to bring mental and emotional health to our educational system and our workforce. Omar graduated from The Swedish Institute studying the human anatomy and massage therapy. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Omar built a successful practice in medical massage and sports rehabilitation. He began to notice the overall change as he would educate patients on mental and emotional awareness in relation to their ailments. To reach a bigger audience he developed a health education company named CrashBell.

CrashBell was designed to bring mental and emotional health to our educational system and our workforce.
